My Creative Journey and Process

Each Limited Edition Fine Art Giclee image begins with my own photography and is developed through a combination of watercolour and traditional hand finished techniques.

My work begins with a moment of connection, often inspired by the quiet beauty of Portugal, its soft light, peaceful landscapes, hidden streets, flowers and gentle details that so often go unnoticed.

Photography lies at the heart of my creative process. As a keen photographer, I begin by capturing my own original images, which I then transform , as I paint them with Watercolours ,Pastel and ink carefully shaping colour, atmosphere and emotion to create a dreamlike interpretation of the scene.

Each artwork is then carefully refined and professionally printed using museum quality fine art paper and archival inks , chosen for their exceptional colour quality and longevity.

Watercolors and pastels even of the best quality can fade quite quickly, especially in the light that we have in the Mediterranean. To preserve these images I scan them , then print them on museum quality paper with museum quality inks .This produces what is referred to as a Giclee print .

These quality of Prints  are reported to last up to 200 years. I’m afraid I haven’t been able to prove that.

With each of my limited edition collections, every piece is individually enhanced by hand again after printing using , mixed media techniques, including professional artist pigments and archival inks, ensuring that no two artworks are ever exactly alike.

My hope is that each piece evokes a feeling , a memory of soft light, stillness, warmth and the beauty of everyday moments.

• Printed as a museum quality archival giclée edition
• Individually hand finished by the artist using archival mixed media
• Printed on premium fine art archival paper
• Signed and numbered by the artist
• Supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity

Combining photography, and traditional artistic techniques, each piece is a unique work of contemporary fine art created to be treasured for generations.
